One way I can think of (not necessarily the best way) is as follows.
Try this on some test area of Moodle before playing with the live installation/course. Always remember to back up before making any changes like this.
It will be best to login as admin and then
- Select backup option from the course ‘Unit 5’ and at the next screen select only the labels you want to duplicate and save as, say unit5-duplicate-labels1.zip. Select logs, course files, user files etc. to NO when backing up.
- Now restore this backup to the ‘unit 5’ itself and select ‘Existing specialism, adding data to it’ at ‘Restore to:’
- If successful, the above action would have duplicated your selected labels. If you have selected four labels now you should have eight of them (probably in the first section of the course).
You may now follow the steps 1 and 2 to make copies of labels to 16, 32 labels etc. once you have enough labels it would be a matter of moving the labels to the right sections (‘concepts’ in your case).
Once the Unit 5 is ready, you could backup the whole Unit 5 (again without any logs, course files, user files etc.) and restore it to a new courses (units). If they already exist, then select the unit you want to restore and choose ‘Existing specialism, deleting it first’ at ‘Restore to:’.
You can also explore the 'import' options next to backup and restore.
Good luck and please do backup your course (units) before trying this.
