Re: Webct 6 import into Moodle
Hello David,
Just a quick response to let you know that you are not alone...
We at Shasta College are trying to migrate to Moodle from a very sick WebCT 6. Still with serious issues of not being able to export (or just plain duplicate)any course created in version 6. We have referred to the courses of the previous version "4" to resque something. If you are able (and extremely lucky) to generate some output from the WebCT6 exporting, may be this discussion thread on this very forum can help you (there is a tool that you can download and try):

If you are able to succeed with something PLEASE kindly post it in this forum so all the other WebCT6 sufferers can learn from your experience.
Very good luck and please keep us posted.
Cristina
Re: Webct 6 import into Moodle
I had a look at your posting earlier and then glanced over WebCT format to see how tough the job might be (WebCT doesn't seem to be a difficult format).
But then I noticed that Moodle seems to import WebCT format. So I then puzzled and reckoned I was missing something...
Anyway, I'm interested in finding out what's behind this, as I've been very busy creating import/export modules for Moodle <-> Qedoc communication and I'm kind of into conversions at the moment.
So my innocent question: why doesn't the built-in Moodle import for WebCT work?
Cheers,
JM
Re: Webct 6 import into Moodle
I honestly don't know, it's not a format I've ever had much to do with.
