Hello, I am doing a site for a teacher, and his students have given a Microsoft word document with hundreds of questions, is there a way to get these into moodle without doing each question individually?

thanks ari

There are 2 versions of quiz creators that I have used that use macros and styles on word to convert questions into a format that can be imported into Moodle
One is a GIFT format quiz creator

The second is xml which allows you to include images (haven't tried this)
http://moodle.org/mod/data/view.php?d=13&rid=578

there is also a template for open office
http://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=20705&parent=168385

They are both designed to create questions in blank documents but instead of using the buttons on the toolbars to create new questions you can apply the associated styles to existing questions.
If you have loads to do it may be worth making a new toolbar that allows you to apply styles to existing questions, to save you scrolling through the styles list each time.

I have even given the GIFT template to pupils and asked them to format and submit questions, in an assignment that I then use (x 30 or 40 students) to make the revision quiz for the topic.
