Enrolment

If I understand you correctly, the manual way to do this is to set an enrolment key and an enrolment duration.

This would also be possible via the Minted profile plugin (rather than the Minted enrolment plugin or Minted bundle). The Minted profile plugin is designed particularly for large-scale projects that use automatic user and course creation mechanisms and require different course defaults for different Moodle categories. Thanks for mentioning it, Ian. I have a new release coming out very shortly that is simpler and has some additional features. I would reccommend anyone who wants it to wait for that.
