I have got a problem with donwloading files from my moodle server.
After donwloading, the files have proper size but have to be "changed" somehow as they are not recognized by programs. For example Word can't open downloaded .doc files and PowerPoint can't open .ppt files.
What could be reason and how to cope with this issue ?

What is your version of Moodle? We run 1.6.4 and have the same problem when opening or downloading uploaded files from the wiki tool.

Could your problem be similar to the problem we are experiencing on 1.8?

The tell-tale sign, I think, would be that no images referenced by course web pages, assignments, quizzes, etc on the Moodle server will render.
