Hello Jon!

Useful flexibility is always good. This is something which is needed in the layout of Moodle. It would sure allow for less "tinkering" with the code.

My question would be, is there a need for all this very serious and labor intensive work in light of v2.0 being built with XML? Would not XML allow for this? I thought that Martin was going to build this function (ability to turn certain features on and off, move them around the screen like in postNuke and/or phpNuke) in v2.0.

If not, then I think it is something that definately needs to be discussed because it allows for even more layout flexibilty than the other CMS (that I know of) programs.

What does anyone else think?
