Hi all,

We're implementing a corporate Moodle solution which is hoped will integrate with our SAP HR system. We are aiming for single-sign-on (SSO) between Moodle & the web-based "Employee Desktop" system (which has SAP as the backend database.

We also want to be able to run reports within the Employee Desktop against the Moodle grades tables which will also query the SAP backend to ensure individuals can only see the reports for themselves and people in their "span of control" - ie. their team and below.

We are looking for people who can help us with this implementation. It will require some quite specialised skills: you will need to be able to talk to Java programmers (on the Desktop development team), understand the SAP BAPI interfaces, understand the Moodle authentication processes and how tickets can be passed from SAP (using a JNI Java interface or a Windows COM interface), as well as create Moodle reports in PHP based on variables passed from the Desktop application.

We use Windows as our preferred OS, with Apache & MySQL as the Moodle platform.

If this is something you would be interested in exploring further please get in touch. In the first instance, please send your CV and a brief explanation of how you would address the single-sign-on problem.

Many thanks,

Mark

Hi Mark,

I am working for a large humanitarian international organisation and I am looking for fresh information about the possibility of integration between SAP and Moodle incertain.  Have you been successful in the project mentioned above?

I would be grateful for your advice.

   Best regards, Abel

Hi Abel - you probably want to get in touch with Piers Harding - he's a moodle developer, and used to develop SAP customisations.
