I am new to Moodle and having difficulty accessing the Lesson pages to create a course. Do I have to download software to my computer in order to do this. I used Nuvvo and did not have to download to my computer. I have viewed the demo but still having problems getting an understanding of how to get to the lesson page and get started.
I'm not sure I understand. Do you mean you have moodle working but can't get lesson (the activity) to work?
You should not have to download anything at all to your computer. Moodle, however, is a server application and needs to be installed as part of a web server.

I found this tutorial helpful. It was recently updated for Moodle 1.6.4.
