One of my students made some change to his system (or the change was made during an update of XP or an update of his security software). No matter what browser he uses, quizzes will not pop up. This has happened in the past week.
What settings do we need to check to allow the quizzes? I hate to go making changes to seurity settings randomly until we hit the right one, so any insights on this will be greatly appreciated.

As it is not restricted to a single browser I would look for some additional pop-up blocker software or similar rather than anything in the browsers (or their security settings). There's quite a few possibilities - you should shine a bright light in his face until he tells you what he installed 
So the issue here is likely related to pop-up blocking?
