Under some IT circumstances I have the problem that the chat window on the left remains empty. On the right window the logged users can be seen but they cannot chat. I guess  that this has to do with some firewall configurations.

Is this a known problem? Any tips?

Hi . I posted about chat problem as same as yours today. Then I found your article  just now.

So , did you solve this chat problem ?

I'm using moodle 1.2.1 or 1.3 on IIS5. Please tell me your server environment.

Hi

The problem is solved. From my own office I never had a problem with the chat but from other institutions there was sometimes a problem.

But now it is solved. It was a matter of the firewall configuration.
