Hi all,
it happens quite often that students not very accustomed with forums, when replying to an existing post, instead of clicking the "answer" button, open a new topic, which destroys the flow of the discussion. Is there a way for the teacher to place this new topic in its right place? The function "move topic" allows only to move it to another forum, not inside an existing thread of the same forum. The "dirty way" would be log-in as the student, copy the post, delete it, answer in the correct place and paste the old post, then log-out, but it is nor practical, nor very ethical (it is rarely a good policy to log-in with someone else's identity). Any solution? Thank you.
Moving a new thread under an exixsting thread

This is exactly what I'm looking to do too. Were you able to figure out a way to make it happen (other than logging in as the student)?
Thanks,
Re: Moving a new thread under an exixsting thread
Hi,
It's not currently possible to move a new thread under an existing thread, however I agree with you that it would be very useful to be able to do so.
Please consider creating a feature request issue in the tracker (see the tracker documentation) then posting the issue number in this discussion for others to watch/vote for/comment on.
