My apologies for cross-posting - I'm posting this in both the Groups and Forums forums in hopes of an answer.

I have an instructor who wishes to post messages to all groups in a Separate Groups forum. Initially, before there were any student posts, she was able to select "All Participants" from the drop-down menu, and her message was shared with everyone. Now that there are posts to individual groups, she tries to select "All Participants", but instead it defaults to the last group she viewed.

Any suggestions? I suspected initially that she wouldn't be able to send this message to everyone, period, but it did work the first time she tried it.

We're using Moodle 1.7.
