I'm glad that works for you Steve. Check the latest blogs on this. I only had to do this on ELGG .6 and 0.61 after that the problem disappeared. If you e=really want to push this then check the block posts with Michael Penny, Penny Leach and Martin Langhoff

These are really cool ways to display blog posts in moodle from elgg and address a missing feature in moodle but I have implemented them and they work really well once bioth ends have been authenticated.
After this a block that extends the ELGG features into moodle would be a welcome addtion. They really work together very well.
