Like Michelle, I'm also trying to see if there is a way to have "Edit Profile" re-appear in the Administration block/panel. I'm currently running Moodle 1.7.2+, and unlike what Setareh mentioned above, I do not see any way to do this.
If anyone has any ideas I'd love to hear.
