Hi, I saw someone asked a question about this general thing in the Forums forum, but thought maybe this would be a better place to get an answer...
What do I have to do in 1.7 to get the Site News to send an email to everybody. (cron is working, all people are subscribed, but still don't receive the email)
I have this problem as well. It works if you assign every member a role, but I can't find a way to assign them a role if they sign up on their own.
There seems to be quite a few glitches and quirks with the new roles capabilities. I have also had courses send emails to people who are not enrolled in the course when all users are subscribed. This definitely has never happened to me in any other versions of Moodle.
