Test bank management software

Test bank management software

I am trying to decide on the best system for managing banks of test and quiz questions. We are currently using LXRTest v6.1 at our school, but it does not do a good job of exporting to other formats. Importing and exporting of plain text files is not too tricky, but it gets complicated with images...

I also have some question banks in TestGen format as well as some in a very clumsy and misnamed EZ test

I like using the moodle quiz module as well as the HotPotatoes system

I'd be interested to hear what others are using and what they think of their system.

I have been using Respondus and pretty happy with it, although would prefer an open source solution. Respondus single-user license was approx. $100.

QCommons is an open source test bank system. It's also a service, at QCommons.org, which hosts items for you. It focuses on collaboration to lets you share items with other users and also discuss, rate, and improve upon them.

Where do we get Qcommons from? Qcommons.org isn't very clear.
