viz a viz Gordon's discovery that my server's version of PHP, although 5, is not a version of 5 that moodle likes, can I suggest (to save a lot of people a lot of time and grief) that the following report (giving an OK status for PHP) from Admin/Environment is amended accordingly:
Name | Information | Report | Status |
---|---|---|---|
database | mysql | version 4.1.16 is required and you are running 5.0.21 | OK |
php | version 4.3.0 is required and you are running 5.0.4 | OK | |
php_extension | iconv | is recommended to be installed/enabled | OK |
php_extension | mbstring | is recommended to be installed/enabled | OK |
