Thanks for the info Timothy - I've been digging around for a while looking for the restore function and there is not a hint that it would be in the Files area especially as all that is written there is "Note: files placed here can be accessed by anyone"
I'm sure I also read about creating new courses based on a template, but can't find how to do that either - any one able to enlighten me?
