Email notification of student uploads

Hi
has anyone devised a way to notify the teacher by email if assignments are uploaded?

I know there is the log - but I find that time consuming wading through lots of entries.

I was hoping there may be an easier, more streamlined way to manage assignments?

Look forward to your advice.

I use Moodle 1.4.5 BTW

Hi Paul - There may be a technical answer that will allow you to achieve this with your current version and if so I guess you will get responses to help you.

However the simple answer is that this feature is built in to later versions of Moodle. You could upgrade to 1.6 or even 1.7 but this will depend on your policy and thinking regarding upgrades.
