We're running 1.6.2 and are experiencing an intermittent problem with chat. Settings are:
General
chat_method: normal
chat_refresh_userlist:10
chat_old_ping:30
Normal
chat_refresh_room:3 (was 5, but now trying lower value)
chat_normal_updatemode:KeepAlive (stream n/a in our current config--only displays single message, then hangs)
Users can type into their message pane, hit enter, and then wait for as long as multiple minutes before their message is visible to entire room. They remain connected, and can click out of chat, click back in, and have better success--sometimes. Review of past session doesn't show that users are leaving/entering.
There does not seem to be any rhyme or reason to this--it occured to me yesterday while I was testing an instructor's course, but I couldn't duplicate the problem again that day. Any suggestions gratefully welcomed.
