Is there a way that the category block can be viewed once the user is loged in rather than the course block.
We have a number of users on several courses within different categories and it is very confusing once they have logged in, as they could be attached to in excess of 20 courses. Having them sorted into categories and then displaying only the categories of the courses they have access to would be ideal.
Can anyone help please?
MoodleFN may help. This is a fairly extensive customisation of Moodle - it contains many extra/customised modules and blocks.

We are interested in using it wihtin a 'standard' Moodle, but have been without luck trying to transfer it. Not least due to our very limited PHP skillset.

The module was mentioned in a discussion elsewhere on his clouds theme - but he was unable to provide the changes - unsurprising given how much other stuff he does. (sorry do not have the reference)
We even sent to a couple of Moodle partners, but they did not respond.
