General help

I upgraded to a new version of 1.2 two days ago.  Now when I run /admin/cron.php after updating some forums and assignments I get this parse error message:

Processing assignment submission 2317 (the number varies)


Parse error:  parse error in /.../moodle/lib/moodlelib.php(1680) : eval()'d code on line 3

Now I'm not au fait with php but I looked on moodlelib.php line 1680 in case there was a typo or something; there doesn't seem to be.  I even looked on line 3 but that's a line of slashes.  Line 1680 appears to refer to the lang directory so I updated with the latest /lang/en to no avail.  So I'm throwing in the towel and asking for help - what's up with this?

I hope somebody can point me in the right direction
