I just thought I'd mention a few things I noticed in the config file when using fantastico:
1: in the wwwRoot, it DOES add a trailing slash; I had to go in and take it out.
2. persistent database connection is set to FALSE. I don't know why or if it will make a difference in performance.
Note I'm hosted at NETMONDO, using Cpanel. I don't know if these are Netmondo or Fantastico issues.
Martin, I don't know if you arrange for the code to be given to Fantastico, but you might want to point out the trailing slash issue if you think it important.
The problem that everyone was experiencing was not due to Moodle or its installation. It seems that during an update the night before the PHP did not recompile 100% which left a few settings corrupt. This problem has been resolved and no one should be experiencing any further problems. This affected everyone on server36, and did not pin-point itself to moodle. We apologize for any trouble you experienced and would like to assure you that this problem will be checked more thoroughly next time reported.
