Hotpot "Last grade" score doesn't match "gradebook"

Hello everyone

I used Hotpotatoes for a long time and I have used it on moodle for nearly a year. All the reports on score seemed to be working fine, except strange reports did happen in the last 3 days.

Last score attempts dates status duration raw score

90 3  2 October 2006, 06:12 PM Completed 4 min 19 s 100

Something like the above mis-reports continue.

  1. the student did make only 1 attempt, but it shows "3"
  2. the student scored once for 100, but it shows the last score to be either  "90"(or "87" in other exercises).

The spec of my moodle is:

  1. moodle 1.62+
  2. hotpot module the latest download from the 1.62+
  3. I recently installed ScoreLock
  4. Gradebook originally from downloads

I just can't figure out the reason. Anyone experienced anything like this?

On the face of it, it looks to me as though the "student" has presed the Refresh button a couple of times, and the teacher has deleted (abandoned) attempts 1 and 2. However, I can't say for sure unless I can reproduce the error on my own machine.

I would be interested to know if anyone else has examples of these "misreports" and can post details of exactly how they occurred.
