Hi el be,
"i teach pronunciation in california, usa. how can i use moodle for teaching pronunciation."
I guess you could use audio files and upload them for students to listen to and practice. You could list the different pronunciations for the various vowels and consonants and any of the combinations. You could also use pictures, graphics, and video clips to show mouth, tongue, and lip placement for the sounds. There are hundreds of ways to go about it. Which is best for you? Which is best for your students?
Do you want your students to send you audio files?
How are you teaching pronunciation currently? Can that be adapted to an online course?
I guess there are about as many ways as there are questions for this statement.

There is quite a bit of useful information in the "Moodle for Language Teaching" course at http://moodle.org/course/view.php?id=31.
Please give it a good read and then try posting any further queries there.
