Blocks

Exactly what activities will register in the "Recent Activity" block? Documentation says new posts to forums. If teacher adds a new block, does the student see that listed as a "Recent activity?" If teacher adds a quiz, or survey, does that appear as a recent activity? Or does this list recent activity by the student who logs in?
