Import Filter: Muliple Answer, Muliple Question

I was excited to find the Aiken import format, as it closely models how I currently store my multiple choice questions for another quiz program.  However It does not allow for explanations and incorrect answers to be supplied while importing the questions.

I inspect the multianswer format and I became disappointed with this comment in the code:

   /// Parses an array of lines into an array of questions.
    /// For this class the method has been simplified as
    /// there can never be more than one question for a
    /// multianswer import

Never?!! Does this mean it is impossible to construct a import format that imports multiple questions with multiple answers?

No, not never. It only means that as it is currently coded.

The GIFT import filter handles the most options and, of course, multiple questions with multiple answers.

Hi,

Thomas Robb kindly coded the Aiken format for one of the teachers at Aiken HS who had lots of text files in this format. It was a godsend for that teacher, but it has its limitations.

We have found, though, that it is very easy for students to get used to the format and to help us create quick quizzes. Gotta love that!

(Thanks, again, Thomas. smile )
