I have a similar problem. the strange thing is that there is only one character that is wrong(ø), and it only applies to the weekdays in the log, and only in one language(norwegian -bokmål)! I tried changing to english and then back to norwegian, but then the strange character turned into another strange character!!
I figured I could solve this problem by finding this string and change it, but I can not find it. Strange.
