I have been wanting to have an easy to maintain "course journal page" where I can post brief notes about a class in case students miss a class and act as a record of when we did stuff. After some experimenting, I settled on a blogger blog (easy to post to with an off-line tool or via e-mail). I then discovered that I could display the content of this blog on my course site using the RSS block. I had to run the blogger feed through feedburner as the blogger feed would not display the posting content/description and "optimize" to RSS2.0.
