MoodleFN My courses block (tree menu style) - not working in 1.6.2

MoodleFN My courses block (tree menu style) - not working in 1.6.2

To be honest, it did not work properly in 1.6 (various errors and dependencies).

I contacted a couple of Moodle partners to ask them if they could work on it - no reply, not even to say no.

So thought I had better have another look myself, though my php skills are minimal. In the meantime, upgraded to 1.6.2 and now after adding the block, the admin page goes blank white.

Do not know where to begin. Moodle FN is based on previous version (1.5.?), so presumably it may be a long shot.

Desired end result is to have the 'my courses' showing as tree menu of categories (containing courses of which I am a student/teacher), expandable to find individual courses after navigating down the tree.

Conventional my courses is too clumsy when there are many courses.
Category tree nav (also borrowed from MoodleFN) seems to work, but puts separate blocks per top level category - using space on page etc.

Any constructive help/ideas welcome...

TIA

Andy
