I have stored a lot of homework exercises in PDF format in my Resources folder, all in the form ex1.pdf, ex2.pdf. As pupils complete each exercise I make available a correct version showing the standard of answers I'd expect. These files are in the form ex1cv.pdf, ex2cv.pdf.
If my students were a bit dishonest and smart enough to look at the URL, they could change ex1.pdf to read ex4.pdf and view a file which I have currently set as hidden.
I suspect this could be fixed by altering some of the folder permissions as, when installing, I was setting all the folders to be very open, just to get Moodle running. I'd be very grateful if someone could describe the levels of access which I should set using my FTP program and whether or not this would solve the problem.
