our college has recently installed moodle. i currently have no access to the server - the college is closed for the holiday - and i have no ftp access. i have copies of all the files from our old mle (which I believe was 'learnwise'), which i intend converting to moodle - the material is from the first and second round of NLN.
I am using the xampp version of moodle 1.6.1 installed on my pc at home.
currently this is what i am doing (the operations are carried out separately)
operation 1 create zips from original mle content
operation 2 a. open zip
b. open imsmanifest
c. copy title and description information (for course title and summary)
d. edit word document - save
operation 3 a. create course pasting information from word file
b. select ims type
c. select previously uploaded zip
d. back to a.
operation 4 a. backup course
b. save in a separate location
c. burn to dvd
I have 152 partially completed files, and 5 courses with only basic information - no proper summary as I did not decide upon the above method 'til this morning after spending 12 hours working yesterday.
I have another 243 files to work on.
IS THERE A QUICKER OR EASIER WAY OF DOING THIS?
Please help
Ian

We prefer to use the word OodleMoodle for that mental state.
