hello all!
I want to create a new block for fetching mail headers from an Exchange Server(LDAP authenticated as moodle)
for beeing more specific....
I want to create a new block
to display and the number of unread email messages
or possibly fetch and display the mail headers of these new mail messages
for each user that is
authanticated through moodle from an LDAP server
and also to add the feature on clickiking these items
either on the number of unread email messages
or the mail headers
to redirect the user to the exchange server (witch also authanticates through LDAP) and displaying him these emails
PLEASE POST HERE ANY AVAILABLE DOCUMENTATION LINKS FOR SUCH TASKS IN PHP and anything to help complete this block.Is out there abything simmilar? I think a lot of people need this functionality.

As long as it is switched on (by the Exchange administrator), Exchange is just IMAP to non Outlook clients.
PHP does have imap functions, but they are optional (not ideal), see...

...I would be surprised if there was not a 'pure' PHP imap implementation around if you ask Google
