What I am trying to do is to share the NLN object repository between the two Moodles to save me having two repositories on the server about 12gb in size.
I cant find away of sharing it though. The settings for the Object Module looks for the object_dirroot: (repository) from /moodle/mod/object.
What I want to do is it put it into the root of the folder, htdocs/repository instead of htdocs/moodle/mod/object/repository. But I cant find a way to point to this location.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Yes, just use standard DOS syntax to go back up the directory tree then come back down again, ie use ../ to go up one level. The path to my Repository from each Moodle is ../../../repository - you may need more or fewer instances of ../, depending on where your Repository folder is situated. Remember, though, that your Repository also has to be visible from the internet, so you can't have it outside your www folder.
I'm currently sharing one Repository between 16 Moodles, so I know it can be done!
