I've now added a new filter to the math. filters suite. This filter converts TeX expressions delimited by <tex;> ... </tex;> or CVS, this one is self-contained (assuming your Moodle is running on a Linux i386 platform). You can log into my site at: https://webwork2.math.ohio-state.edu/moodle1_2d/mod/forum/view.php?id=7&username=guest to try it out. You will be automaticall logged into a special guest account with posting privileges. Also attached is an update to the algebra filter, implementing the following additional features: limits, infinity, inequalities and powers of trig functions.tags into gif images, using mimeTeX. really impressed !!
Only one comment. Is it possible to avoid the newline2br transformation to allow tex expresions in multiple lines to be entered?
great job, anyway !!
I'm glad you like it. My filter doesn't do any newline->br conversions - it's Moodle auto-format doing that. Also my math filters aren't really meant to process multiline formulas. MimeTeX, the TeX->gif backend I am using, is a lightweight version of TeX not designed for such heavy duty use.
