Hi everybody,
I download Moodle for Mac, eMac G4 with 10.4.7, Install it (copy the "xampp" folder from the disk image into my Application folder), then double click on Moodle4OSX, start button, start button, everything ok.
I access to moodle via 127.0.0.1:8081 or 10.1.113.6:8081 on the local machine (whereis installed), when I want to access from another machine from Web the 10.1.113.6:8081 address is unreachable.
I turn of the Personal Web sharing, nothing, turn on, nothing happend, maybe some external configuration i have to do...
I don't explain why I can start up 4D WEB Server on port 8080 on the same machine and from another machines I can access the samewhit the same IP address (10.1.113.6:8080)
Please help.
Thanks in advice.
Iván
Hi Iván,
first you must change one line in the file config.php
- $CFG->wwwroot = 'http://10.1.113.6:8081';
- See picture 16 on my homepage.
After this you must add a new rule for the firewall in your eMac.
- Open System Preferences > Sharing > Firewall
- Add a new rule for TCP port 8081 and name it XAMPP
- See picture 17 and picture 18 on my homepage.
You will find the complete tutorial here

(sorry, it's in german language but you can look at the pictures)
