Comparisons and advocacy

Alvaro Gregori recently published a couple of links in the RedIris elarning's mail list about the blackboard submission for a new patent over the LMS concept.

Really isn't just the LMS concept, looks like Blackboard wants to patent any kind of learning interaction based on groupware tools.

I'm really astonished they try to patent something that existed before they started as a company, but Microsoft patents over "double click" succeed, I feel like everything is possible.

Is the Moodle community discussing it worrying issue somewhere?
I couldn't find any discussion related.
