What is the best way of updating the main Moodle home page (index.php) to a more custom look and feel... like MonteNet's: http://montenet.monte.nsw.edu.au/

thanks Again!

OMIGOD... that's beautiful.

I see... he has generously donated his code to the community at large.

Check out the Themes section on moodle.org... you can download it under GPL. It's called "Clouds." I've been customizing some of the other themes and I'm sure it's pretty easy to fix it up with your own stuff.

Wow... thanks, Julian.

I have posted in the past about this. MonteNet looks alot fancier than it realy is.

I have not edited any core moodle files (including index.php) to acheive this. In essence, I cheated. smile

All I did to acheive that look in the homepage was use a label for all the content at the top of the page and used html to create the content. I uploaded the images neccesary into my core site files directory as these are public files that can be used without logging in.

It was really just a case of thinking outside the box to acheive what I needed done. Hope this makes sense. Feel free to message me or post back to this forum if you have more questions.

And yes, the theme is publicly available under the name 'Clouds'. You will find it in the Themes Database
