Books required for course module

Hi there,

 

Now wouldn't it be nice if there was a module that teachers could list each book required for the class? With titles, ISBN #, authors and maybe a link box for a link to where the books can be purchased?  Even cooler if it could be thrown into a simple cart and added in with the course price so there is one checkout.

 

Anyone thinking of or planning this?  I have no programming skills. smile  But I do own a bookstore and teach online classes using moodle. smile

Quick and easy solution; You could make a database for the booklist (moodle 1.6); if you have online ordering already from your store, one of the fields could be a link to the page on your site.

Or you could create an Amazon ListMania - http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/tg/browse/-/897828/

You end up with a list like the one at http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/richpub/listmania/fullview/1Z5I5P64WIQ2X/ref=cm_lm_detail_left_full/202-4368495-9419859 which you can then include as a resource in your Moodle site.

Thanks but I own a bookstore. I'm not going to send my students to Amazon. smile
