File Browser not seen

I'm using 1.6+ (2006050506) on a linux webhosting. Even when I logged in either as teacher or admin I could not see the file browser listing.

I have six folders and numerous files and images. Why is this so? Is there a remedy for this? I tried this forum for an answer without sucess.

I found the solution. The problem arises from McAfee Privacy service. When privacy service is disabled, things work perfectly.
