I've read a post about the variables page loading slowly.  I'm experiencing the same thing at the moment - about 4 minutes to load.

The strange thing is that this only seems to happen if I access moodle via the internet where $CFG->wwwroot = 'http://www.molecularmagic.net/moodle'.

I host my website at home, so If I change the $CFG->wwwroot to 'http://192.168.1.110/moodle' (i.e. accessing it from the network side) it works fine.

I wonder whether this is a firewall issue - but then why should it be?

Thanks if you did look at this post - I've sorted it ...

changed $cfg->wwwroot = "http://www.molecularmagic.net/moodle"
to           $cfg->wwwroot = "/moodle"

Now works fine from inside and outside the network.
