Anonymous choice

I would like to have an extra option when setting up a choice to make it entirely anonymous, so that the student's id is not saved with the student's response. The only information that would be stored with the student's id would be whether the student has already made a choice or not. Does that sound reasonable? Has anyone already made a mod like this?

I looked in the bug tracker and didn't see it. One of our instructors has just requested this as well.

Any interest in revisiting this idea - It is a feature that i would like to see.

Anyone who is working on an implementation of this, or is the (very good) idea of having entirely anonymous choices abandoned?
I see that more than two years have gone since someone posted something here!
