Hi,
just downloaded Moodle 1.6 and followed the instruction to create the database with DEFAULT CHARACTER SET utf8 COLLATE utf8_unicode_ci.
I notice that the system locale incorrectly is detected as English_Australian.1852, while with previous Moodle installations (Moodle 1.5 and Moodle 16 without UTF8) the system locale is correctly detected as en.
We are running Windows 2003 Server English version.
