Journal (plugin)

I would appreciate learning how to add the Journal module to 1.5.3.  I know it's not included in 1.5.3 version (and probably not in 1.6 either) but it is exactly what I need for my students!  We don't want to add it to 1.5.3 if it's going to create an internal problem.
