Standardsbased grading

Standardsbased grading

Hello to all,
I am just exploring using moodle at our school. At the same time, our administration has requested that we all use an electronic gradebook and that we eventually migrate to a standards based grading system. Since I have been charged  with finding an appropriate grade book, I would like to know if anyone has adapted a gradebook to a standards reporting system.

Also how do school set up a moodle that allows parents secure access to their students grades.

Thanking you all for any direction

Susan

Susan,

I realize it is a bit late as it is nearing the end of August, but PGGP is an elementary grade book and the new version, (5) adds standards-based grading to the traditional features.

There are a number of grade books that are standards-based and it is probably easier to use one of them rather than trying to tweak you existing grade book.   I say that because for several years I have heard from PGGP users who were "tweaking" the grade book.

You can read more about PGGP and http://www.pggp.com

Best Wishes in your search.

George
