DOT (Digital Opportunity Trust) is launching its global knowledge management system (GlobalNetcorps.org) using Moodle technology. DOT is using Moodle to enable community connections within and between countries; for NGO's, Trainers, Interns and Citizens participating in its Global NetCorps programme.

Global NetCorps (www.dotrust.org/gnc) is one of the most innovative, sustainable and effective ICT for Development programmes. Its mandate is to teach countries how to cause their own well-being using technology.

Global NetCorps uses a network approach to provide countries with leading edge learning programmes, technology, knowledge and best practices to expand countries' capacity and expertise within a supportive and efficient environment.

Knowledge management is about providing the right people with the right tools and the right content to share ideas, information & indicators to improve their communities socially and economically. Moodle's usability and simple interface is helping DOT create a place for Interns and other partners to report learning, ask questions, share excitement, be known, be supported, be celebratedsimply and while having fun.

We are thrilled to join the Moodle community and we are interested in  feedback on our use of Moodle and interpretation of e-learning for the ICT for Development community. To review our development plans, please contact Mike Churchward at mchurchward@dotrust.org.
