The majority of log entries on our web site are web bots.
Is there a way to exclude them from the logs?
If not is there a way to identify them once and see their name in the log from that point on?
Is there a sort sequence option that would let me make better use of the logged data?
You could use a robot.txt file. You can find info about this here
Google is only one of several bots giving me regular hits.
I don't object to the hits but would like to exclude them from the log or display the name so I can ignore them when analyzing the log.
