Hi guys,
Have you came across this site?
http://math.chapman.edu/~jipsen/asciencepad/asciencepad.html
Does anybody knows if this is possible to be implemented in moodle??
or is it there already???
thank you
Yes, this can be added to Moodle 1.5.3, but it has not yet been packaged in a convenient way (e.g. as a Moodle module). You can take a look at https://math.chapman.edu/~jipsen/moodle15/ (need to register to try it out) and the modifications for this site are available from http://math.chapman.edu/cgi-bin/mathxml.pl?ASCIIMath_FAQ
The HTMLArea plugins AsciiMath and AsciiSVG for displaying math and graphs in the editor window were developed in collaboration with David Lippman.

Hi Peter,
I'm trying to run ASCIIMATH in WordPress (on my own server.) I placed the following code in the "header.php" file as such (as your article advises):
echo '<script src=http://www1.chapman.edu/~jipsen/mathml/ASCIIMathML.js></script>'."\n";
(I'm using your file only until I know that the script works, then I'll switch it to my own server.)
Anyway, this same code works just fine in my "Blogspot" page but not in my WordPress pages. Any suggestions?
I'll be posting help requests on WordPress sites as well.
Also, before I give myself a migrane, will/should "ASciencePad" or "ASCIIMath" run on Moodle 5.1.2?
Thanks,
Robert

Hello,
It works very well with moodle 1.5.4 and firefox but I've a problem with Internet explorer 6 (+ mathsplayer + SVG viewer). The editor doesn't display the area to write as you can see in the attached screenshot.
Do you have the same problem ?
Anyone has an idea to solve this problem ?
Stephane
