Calendar using huge amount of bandwidth

Calendar using huge amount of bandwidth

Recently I've been having calendar issues with my webhost. My account was suspended for something to do, I'm assuming, with phpicalendar (which has nothing to do with Moodle, of course, but may help to figure out what may be the problem).

Recently my bandwidth has been going off the charts after being well under 1 GB for years. My hosting service has been of little help, save for suggesting to check which files are being accessed the most. Upon checking (Awstats under cPanel), it seems that the Moodle calendar is rather busy. Is anyone else experiencing similar issues? I just deleted all the calendars to see if that will help.

Thanks in advance.

I had this problem on a server at home with phpicalendar.  It was search engine robots (googlebot, etc) that spider the infinite ammount of links generated by phpicalendar.  Build a robots.txt to tell googlebot (and all his related friends) not to spider the calendar directories.  Well, at least your calendar is searchable on google now, heh heh.  Good luck!
