Hi Russel
The summary was easy. See how long I have been repeating the statement.

Coming back to your application, it looks like your audience has Internet. In that case you don't need MoodleBox, RACHEL, etc. Still I allow myself some elaborations on what you've said:
> As for the MoodleBox concept, it does exist conceptually.
It is more than just a concept. An OS image exists. You write it to a storage medium, micro-SD, USB memory stick, SSD drive, etc. insert in in to / connect to a Raspberry Pi and switch on.
OK, lately it had become expensive. The R Pi scarcity had driven the price high.
> The RACHEL server by worldpossible.org is a self-contained LMS as you mention. It
has its own LMS,
It contains many unrelated web applications.
> but we could easily fork a Moodle-based
implementation. Unfortunately, the server is not cheap at $500 USD. But
it's a start.
But you can also download the content and run your own RACHEL.
That
could be a Raspberry Pi too (price saving). Now the big curiosity: You can run RACHEL on
a MoodleBox. Then you have both:. The content of RACHEL and the (empty)
classrooms in Moodle.
